umeke la'au, de beau volume, ouvragé dans un bois de kou au grain très fin. Il est embelli par de nombreuses restaurations traditionnelles de type pewa (papillons), kepa (petites barrettes), kuini (chevilles coniques) et poho (pièces rectangulaires). Superbe patine naturelle, lustrée par le temps et l'usage.
Il porte, en dessous, inscrit à l'encre blanche, le numéro d'inventaire "1774.1 H.A.A." - probable référence de l' Honolulu Academy of Arts.

Condition

Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. Very nice indigenous repairs.
