A la rondeur de l'assise répond la plénitude émanant du personnage, la pose architecturée parfaitement équilibrée par le libre jeu des proportions. L'homme tournant le dos à l'ouverture du réceptacle comme pour se détacher de sa fonction usuelle et l'abstraction du visage résumé à l'ébauche des traits ajoutent à la poésie de l'œuvre. Très belle patine nuancée, grumeleuse à l'intérieur du cuilleron et brillante sur les parties manipulées.
