Condition

The painting is in excellent condition overall. The surface is stable and sound with no visible signs of repairs or restoration. There is a hairline crack running approximately 10cm vertically from the centre top edge through the back of the serpent's head (visible in the catalogue photograph - inherent damage). The painting has a professional brace on the reverse with clips.
