This painting represents part of the Old Man (Yina) Dreaming frequently painted by the artist's Pintupi contemporaries Uta Uta Tjangala and Charlie Tararu Tjungurrayi. For detailed discussion of this mythology see Sotheby's, Important Aboriginal Art, Melbourne, 30 June 1997, lot 17.

This painting is sold with an accompanying photocopy of the original Stuart Art Centre cataloguing sheet. The diagram indicates that the central roundels represent the Old Man and the outer roundels his testicles.
