Catalogue Note
This painting is sold with an accompanying Delmore Gallery and Gallery Gondwana certificate which reads in part: 'A fantastic resolution of line is evident here along with what is an exciting painting showing an ease and confident pace. The abandoned gestural strokes are concentrated on different areas of the canvas, giving rise to the idea of yam increase centres - the place from which life erupts and spreads forth. The energy that exudes from this composition of line and colour is undeniably strong, with the palette representing the colours of "kame" - the yam flower'.
