Three Fine Shields

The shield on the left hand side in the catalogue photograph has some minor damage to th centre right, the bottom left and the top left edges, all visible in the catalogue photograph. There is some pigment loss to the white areas. There is a hairline crack approximately 30mm long from the top,right edge and another 5mm long in the bottom right. Cracks are visible on the verso . The painted surface is stable and the shield is in sound condition overall. The shield in the middle has various surface abrasions on the front which are visible in the catalogue photograph. There is a minor crack approximately 20mm long at the centre, lower edge on the verso. There is minor pigment loss. The shield is in sound and stable condition overall. The shield on the right has some abrasion and pigment loss on the front surface visible in the catalogue photograph. There is a hairline crack about 15mm long at the top edge also visible on the verso. There shield in in stable and sound condition overall. Most signs of damage are likely to be a result of use.
