- Portrait of a Prince of the House of Savoy, probably Vittorio Emanuele, Duca d'Aosta, later Vittorio Emanuele I, King of Sardinia (1759-1824)
- watercolour and bodycolour on ivory, a decorative gilt-metal frame
- 7 by 5.6 cm.; 2¾ by 2¼ in.
circa 1780, wearing the uniform of Savoy and the Order's of the Annunication and of Saint Maurice and St. Lazarus
Condition
The colours are strong and fresh. On the sitter's right shoulder there appears to be some minor smoky mould.
