Overall the condition of the wood is good. There is some minor wear and dirt consistent with age. A small knot in the wood at the base of the vase has caused minor splitting in that area. The wood is split at the ram's head on the left side. There are slight losses to the garlands on the frieze of the vase and to the foliage in it. The right leg of the cricket is lost.
