a label inside the lid inscribed: Opera personala di Gius. Maria Bonzanigo 1744-1899 dictate in black ink
Condition
Overall the condition of the box is very good. There is some minor wear and dirt consistent with age. There are some minor chips and irregularities due to naturally occurring inclusions to the box. The glass is framed by a ring of tortoiseshell which is cracked and slightly warped. There is a small area of restoration to the foliage around the book on the right side of the micro carving.
