Costanza Salomone de Serravalle (circa 1770 –1843) married Alessandro Vallesa, conte di Montalto (1765–1823) in 1792. This portrait presumably dates from around the time of their marriage. We are very grateful to Neil Jeffares for his help with the cataloguing of this pastel.

Condition
Sold in a 19th Century frame. Not seen out of frame. A repaired diagonal tear across the upper left corner. Otherwise appears to be in very good condition.
