An Italian gilt-bronze-mounted kingwood, amaranth and fruitwood writing table, Piedmontese mid 18th century

with a brèche d'Alep marble top with a leather-lined writing slide above a pull-out amaranth lecturn, the tambour sliding to reveal a recess with a drawer in the side fitted for writing implements; marble top restored

There are some very minor restorations to the veneer which has been well executed. The mounts are later. There is a very minor section of veneer missing from the rear and right side which can easily be replaced. Evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. In overall good conserved condition.
