Condition
The board is sound. There is an area of old paint separation to the dark green pigment to the left of the man's arm and a small scuff by the bottom right edge and some minor surface dirt, otherwise in good overall condition.
Under ultraviolet light, there are some old retouchings along the upper edge and a spot on the bottom edge.
Held in a painted plaster and gilt frame.
