The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has not been removed from its original stretcher. The paint layer is well supported and although there are slight waves in the upper left corner, these could be corrected without lining the canvas. The paint layer does not appear to have ever been cleaning and it is un-varnished and quite dirty throughout. There is no visible paint loss. Some cracking has developed in the reflections of the animals in the lower center and if the picture were to be cleaned, it could be reduced with retouching if necessary. Nonetheless it appears that this painting is in excellent and original condition.
