Reduced in height, legs cut and re-attached, formerly fitted with a gallery.

Overall fair restored condition; the back rail cut in the middle; the top with warpage and rippling and with long age cracks; the back edge with patches were original gallery was attached; the satinwood banding to the right side of top with stress tear with subsequent lifting, and with loss to banding approximately 2 inches in length to back right corner; banding with some replacements; stress tear to left side banding; the molded edge of each side with an approximate 10 inch replaced section; The frieze drawer with nails to the drawer linings possibly to reinforce the dovetails; age cracks to the drawer bottom; warpage to the linings; solid mahogany drawer front; later handles. The carcass with later brackets beneath the frieze drawer; each door with later handles and showing patches to the back where previous hardware was attached; left side panel with replaced section to back bottom corner; inpainted horizontal age crack to left side; front left leg slightly loose and with two plugs above join with carcass and loss to the top banding of the leg; left door with loss to the banding of the top left corner and with chips, lifting and losses to the bottom left corner; banding beneath door with losses and lifting to veneers; restorations and replacements to the moldings and bandings of the door; loss to the banding to the right side above the middle left leg continuing into the niche under the frieze, the opposite side of the niche with numerous losses to the banding; chip and patch to banding above the right door; chips, losses and restorations to banding beneath right door; the right door with vertical age cracks/stress tears to the veneers with inpainting; chips, replacements and restorations to the bandings and moldings; later handles, the reverse of the door with patches where original hardware was attached; right side panel with two horizontal age cracks with inpainting; the back side panel with an age crack and with a large veneer patch to the bottom back corner. Legs cut at join with the carcass and re-attached; legs reduced in height; slight sun fading to veneers of front; overall with old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises and in need of further restoration.
