Cresting rail possibly altered, associated later needlework, two later metal bars to the underside, restorations.
Condition
Overall fair condition; the associated later needlework in stable condition with small areas of restoration and loss; the seat rails with areas of old worm; front corners with later corner blocks; front right leg with losses to the carved fluting and with split down one corner edge at join with stretcher and plugs especially at join with stretcher; right side stretcher with a break at join with middle stretcher; small replaced section to fluting of top of front left leg; middle right leg with old repaired break to top; middle left stretcher with a patched repair at join with middle stretcher; six stretchers replaced; the underside with two later metal bars which support the frame; overall with old marks, scratches, scuffs, bruises and nicks.
