In distressed condition and not stable; over-gilt; possibly originally japanned; possibly adapted; old repaired breaks to upper section now becoming loose particularly to upper right corner and lower left corner of the oval mirror frame as can be seen in the catalogue illustration; flaking, losses, wear and scratches to gilding and to the gesso, and with areas of inpainting; lower left corner of frame with cracks which are slightly loose; numerous chips and losses to carving; mirror plates with areas of crystallization and with small losses and pitting.
