the cover and the body under the girdle chased the flutes and matting, gadrooned borders, engraved with contemporary arms in baroque cartouche, decorated with cut-card work at the handle terminals and below the hinge, spiraled thumbpiece and shield-shaped terminal, the base engraved with early initials E over IE and RE,
