Condition
Overall good condition; the original paint has been stripped leaving the carved pine exposed and with a lightly waxed surface; chips, losses and replacements to the carving throughout; the frieze with age cracks, and some replacements to the carving made of composition; the socles to the urns replaced; the side pilasters with some infilled nail holes; plugs to the molded concave edge of the opening; an approximate 1 ΒΌ inch chip to the beaded edge of the opening as can be seen in the catalogue illustration; small section of the beaded molding lacking to the top left corner of the left pilaster; please the sides with later acanthus carved and beaded moldings molding and with later replaced moldings to the plinth at front corners and sides; the sides appear to be extended; overall with old scratches, scuffs, bruises and chips consistent with age and use.
