on four chimera supports, the apron set with emeralds, the body with enameled pillars at the four corners, the sides applied with enameled strapwork panels centered by diamond-set masks flanked by gem-set flowers, surrounded by gold foliage, the hinged domed cover set at the corners with Cherubs representing Painting, Sculpture, Music, and Poetry, separated by rubies, the finial formed as a patinated silver lioness fighting with a snake, the interior fitted with quilted pale blue satin
