A pair of Regency grained rosewood and parcel-gilt spoonback chairs circa 1810

Overall good restored condition; the first with an age crack to the backrest near join of backrest with right stile approximately 5 inches in length; chip to edge of backrest at join with left stile; chip to back edge of backrest at join with right stile; inpainting to the back side of the back rest especially around joins with stiles; infilled and inpainted holes to sides of stiles above sides of seat rails; small chips, wear and inpainting to edges of stiles and backrest; back left leg possibly broken and repaired at join with seat rail and now with later glue; top of front right leg with old repaired chip to corner; inside of seat rails with a later black wash. The other chair with small age crack to top right side of stile at join with back rest; center of backrest with a rectangular patch; wear to the painted surface of backrest with areas of inpainting and with chips and losses; repaired break to tip of right stile above front right leg and with a plug; back left leg with old repaired break at top. Overall each with wear to the edge of the backerst and stiles with chips, losses and inpainting; wear and chips to painting above the brass capped casters at tops of legs around upholstery, the seats with springing.
