The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down. The sheet has been sandwiched between two pieces of mount which are stuck together. The sheet undulates slightly across the surface. The surface of the sheet appears to be in good original condition. Held in a cream mount. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work. The following condition report has been provided by the paper restorer Jane McAusland: This group of drawings from one European Collection have all been well conserved in good quality mounts and have benefited from not being exposed to light. There is a little surface abrasion in some of the collection. Also the odd fox mark and other small imperfections. Otherwise there condition is remarkably good.
