Description

  • height 39 1/2 in.; width 31 1/2 in.; 12 1/2 in.
  • 100.5 cm; 80 cm; 31.5 cm
surmounted by a vert de Maurin marble top, the cupboard doors opening to three adjustable shelves.

Condition

The gilt-bronze mounts are highly tarnished and dirty but seem to retain the original gilding underneath; the first with extensive tarnishing and oxidation to the lower gilt-bronze border; the trellis grill is bent concavely; the grill to both right doors is slightly loose and will need to be re-fitted; although apparently unsigned, the present pair of cabinets are very well made including very good gilt-bronze mounts consistent with furniture produced by the leading Parisian cabinet-making firms; loss of veneer to the left hand side bottom corner of one cabinet approximately 2-inches by 1 -inch; overall with minor chips to veneers to aprons;
