Condition
Overall good condition; tarnishing, dirt and minor pitting to the gilt-bronze surface with very little rubbing or wear. Would benefit from a light cleaning. Overall with minor scratches, and some very minor dents consistent with age and use.

The original model was delivered to Fontainieu in 1777. In 1779, a second pair was delivered to Versailles and in 1780, a third pair was delivered for the bedroom of the Duc d'Angouleme.
