Description

Sarancolin marble top, the cupboard doors opening to two adjustable shelves; one mount has been removed to reveal the ZJ mark from the bronze master model.

Condition

Overall good condition; the marble top with a small chip to the front edge and with minor wear to edges; small loss to kingwood veneer to frieze at right canted corner; scratches and minor losses to the veneer around the keyhole; the coromandel lacquer with small losses to the decoration showing gesso and some areas of restoration, one to the right panel with overpainting above a vertical age crack approximately 10 inches in length; areas of overpainting around the gowns of the female figures to the same panel; the left panel with areas of overpainting and restoration to the back of the Emperor's head and left hand foot of kneeling servant; re-touching to polychroming to dragon's head and to the upper part of the pagoda roof.
