Catalogue Note

A closely related cabinet stamped four time G. Durand sold in these rooms, October 24, 2007, loy 443, which sold for $10,000. Interrestingly, this form of Louis XV/transition cabinets were repeated throughout the 18th century but with the evident less elaborate belle époque marquetry and bronze mounts.
