surmounted by a vert de Mayenne marble top, three frieze drawers, three glazed cupboard doors, all locks with the Schmit stamp, and the central frieze drawer with the metal label stamped SCHMIT / EBENISTERIE D'ART, TAPISSERIE/ RUE DE CHARONNE, PARIS.

Formerly fitted with an arched mirror, now lacking and showing old screw holes and shadow where braces were attached; however, while there is no mirror, the piece is still visually acceptable as a vitrine; the green marble top covers the whole width and depth; overall with usual extensive tarnishing and dirt to the gilt-bronze mounts which would benefit from a cleaning; usual nicks, scratches and dents to the mahogany veneers especially around the top; slight sun fading to veneers of right side.
