  • height 30 1/2 in.; diameter 43 3/4 in.
  • 80 cm; 111 cm
surmounted by a viened white marble top, fitted with four frieze drawers each fronted with a gilt-bronze relief of putti allegorical of the arts, the underside with an old paper label inscribed Property of / Mrs. George F. Foster.

Condition

Overall good condition; the marble top with some light surface scratches; the marble is slightly raised at one edge approximately 1/8 of an inch due to the warpage and shrinkage of the carcass; the carcass is made of oak and veneered with mahogany; minor areas of inpainting and infilling to the veneers of the mahogany banding to the top; old repaired break to the top of one leg now with inpainting and showing cracks; loss to lower part of gilt-bronze mounts to back of one leg; the gilt bronze mounts are finely cast and chased, tarnished and with areas of pitting, dirt and some oxidation; overall with scratches, nicks and wear
