Condition

As visible in the catalogue illustration, there are numerous age cracks to the ivory filled with dirt; the arms have been repositioned during former restoration now leaving traces of glue and visible seams; restoration or replacements to two fingers of the figure's right hand; loss to loin cloth of the figure's right side now showing tow pins at hip; the gilt-wood frame re-decorated with gold paint with some losses to the foliate and with cracks, nicks and dents in places; minor worm damage visible in places; red damask fabric to the back has been replaced. Please note this lot contains endangered species and a CITES permit may be required for export. Please contact the department with any questions.
