carved in the round in three sections depicting Indian hunting scenes including an ostrich hunt, lion hunt and elephant hunt.

Condition

Each section finely carved in the round with a hunting scene; the first with an ostrich, the second with a lion, the third with an elephant; Five chips to the leaf-carved bottom edge; restorations to the carved elephant now slightly discolored; chips to bead and reel molding with some traces of glue; the middle relief with minor red stains and dirt but with no apparent losses; possible restoration to crouching lion; the upper section with a vertical age crack approximately 3 inches in length; small chip to beak of ostrich.
