Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the sky surrounding the male figure on the left, surrounding the female figure furthest right, and along the extreme upper edge. Apart from scattered fine craquelure and a heavy varnish, this work is in good condition, with rich, bright colours and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, copper-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
