Condition
Unexamined out of frame and under glass, the canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered flecks of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably scattered infilling to the skirt of the woman and to the upper right corner. Apart from the retouching to the skirt, scattered fine craquelure and a pinhead-sized fleck of paint loss to the extreme upper left edge, this work is in very good condition, with fine details and rich tones, and ready to hang. Held in a simple, gilt, moulded plaster and wood frame, under glass.
