Condition
Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. There are scattered pinholes to the canvas, notably at the upper right corner and a small tear to the upper left extreme edge. Apart from scattered spots of paint shrinkage, notably to the centre of the left side, a repaired tear (patched on the reverse) at the lower centre and scattered surface dirt, this work is in fair condition. Held in a striated, black-painted moulded plaster and wood frame with a gold beaded accent.
