Condition
Original canvas. There are scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the upper edge, around the nose of the figure and to the lower right corner. Apart from some light frame rubbing, notably to the extreme upper and right edges, this work is in very good condition, with rich colours and fine detail, and ready to hang. Held in a decorative, wide, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
