Condition
The canvas has been re-lined. There are scattered small spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to the sky at the right side and centre, and to the lower centre near the rocky outcrop. Apart from some scattered light surface dirt and craquelure, some minor pinholes to the right edge and a few very light scratches to the upper left corner, this work is in good condition, with vivid, fresh colours and fine detail. Held in a decorative, gold and black-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
