Unlined, 2 inch diameter patch to upper left on reverse, 3 1 by 1 or 1 by 2 inch patches on the reverse in the lower quadrant, widely patterned craquelure through surface; under UV: 1/2 by 1 inch area of inpainting to center sky, 1/2 by 1/2 inch area of inpainting upper left corner corresponding to patch on reverse, 1/2 by 1/2 inch L-shaped area of inpainting at thigh of Napoleon's horse's rear right leg corresponding to patch on reverse,1/2 inch vertical line of inpainting at horse closest to Napoleon's front right leg corresponding to patch on reverse, some original pigments fluoresce.
