Condition
From a first hand inspection the support looks a little warped and chipped along the top and lower edges. There are four small holes at the corners and in the middle of the edges due to pushpins. There is a small woodworm hole in the up left hand corner.
The ultra violet light reveals a light fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface. Over the woman's face there are some darker paint brushes insisting on the shadows, probably done by the artist.
The overall condition as to the state of preservation is very good.
