each of demilune form with tulipwood cross banding and line inlay and inlaid at the center with a Neoclassical urn with rams' head handles within extensive foliate scrolls, issuing leafy fronds, and palm branches and with flower heads and strings of berried husks, the edges similarly strung and cross banded, the conforming aprons also cross banded, the figured veneers centered by anthemion and with scrolling leaves and flower heads, the side panels with swags of husks, the square tapered legs edged with stringing and headed by tablets inlaid with flower head paterae above pendant graduated husks, and with spade toes.
Condition
In good overall condition – color less 'orange' than illustration – usual scratches and scuffs overall, the tops with minor restorations and replacements and small losses to the stringing and cross banding The marquetry still retaining much of its engraving, the pendant leaf below the central urn of one lifting and requiring gluing. The frieze in similar condition with small losses, restorations and replacements to the stringing and cross-banding. The legs with small losses and replacements to the stinging and all showing signs of re-gluing at the joints with the frame, and with some later screws. The underframe with some old worm damage.
