the needlework panel worked in polychrome silk and wool with an extensive pastoral landscape with buildings and animals, the foreground with a gardener and spade, the plain pole supported on a baluster and ring turned stem with gadrooned cup collars, the cabriole legs carved with foliage at the knees and with extended claw and ball toes, the underside inscribed in white paint 2165.

Condition

The needlework with some losses and restorations, bottom brass fitting to screen lacking, the pole screen with old plugged repaired break to base of stem and with vertical age crack, overall with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises consistent with age and use.
