each with an over-upholstered back with a serpentine top rail, above slightly curved padded arm rests continuing to incurved supports square carved supports, the slightly scrolled terminals with foliate carving above square downswept supports ornamented with strapwork enclosed lozenges and oval panels with hatched ornament and flower heads and acanthus leaves, all on a punched ground, the trellis ornamented seat rails with flower heads on a similar punched ground, and supported on cabriole legs with shaped panels enclosing diaper ornament and with foliate and C-scroll brackets and with inwardly scrolled toes.

Overall in good general condition. Minor losses and chips to carving on both consistent with age and use. Chair 1: This has a repair to the right arm at the top of the front facing. The bottom of the arm has a later veneered facing. Front left feet cracked. Chair 2: Generally sound. Both will need to be reupholstered and both could benefit from light cleaning.
