Description

the over-upholstered seat covered in contemporary needlework worked in polychrome with flowing leaves on a coral ground, the cabriole legs of square form with plain brackets, above collars and on turned legs with pad toes continuing to pad feet.

Condition

Good old waxed patinated surface with some old worm damage and abrasions to edges and to toes. The pad toes have all been slightly built up to compensate for old wear. The seat frame shows old worm damage and has been strengthened at each long side with screwed-on wood battens with later crossties. The needlework cover is in good restored condition with some reworking overall.
