Description
- A bronze group of Atalanta and Meleager
- After a model by Francesco Fanelli (active circa 1608-1661)
Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good. There is some minor wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some subtle traces of green and red lacquers to the otherwise dark brown patina. Since there are two small circular holes to the base some original pegs may be missing, there is a repair to the base to the right side of the group. Meleager may be missing an attribute from his right hand.
