Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has never been removed from its original stretcher. The surface may have been cleaned and lightly varnished. It is very slightly wavy in places but the paint layer is stable. There do not appear to be any restorations visible either under ultraviolet light or to the naked eye. The very heavily gessoed and painted canvas could be stabilized in the lower center where there are some slightly raised cracks. Overall however, the picture is very healthy and could be hung as is.
