Condition

Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. The work is in very good overall condition and ready to hang. Held in a simple, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.

Catalogue Note

Erling Ärlingsson was born in Värmland where he worked at a shipyard before enrolling at the Valand Academy in 1927. Working with Åke Göransson and Inge Schiöler, he interpreted his native Värmland with vivid feeling and in bright colours.
