Condition
Original canvas. There are no signs of retouching under ultraviolet light, and apart from some spots of craquelure to the areas of heavier impasto, and some very light surface dirt, the work is in good original condition. Held in a simple, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.

Catalogue Note
Born in Gothenburg, Ivarson studied under Tor Bjurström at the Valand Academy. From 1929 until 1931 he lived at Stenungsön north of Gothenburg where he worked closely with Ragnar Sandberg, later moving to France where he spent the rest of his life.
