The lexicographer and translator Fedor Polikarpov-Orlov here produces a work anchored in the Helleno-Slavonic literary tradition of the seventeenth century whilst acknowledging the emerging influence of the Latin world on Russian thought. A trilingual preface is followed by a longer introduction and Instructions on how to use the dictionary in Church Slavonic. The Greek and Latin glossaries are amplified in examples of conjunctions, interjections and prepositions by grammatical commentaries. Polikarpov's Lexikon treyazychnyi was reprinted in 1988 as part of the Specimina philologiae slavicae series.
