One of the most popular journals of its time, edited by the Venetian writer Apostolo Zeno (1668-1750), the physician and naturalist Antonio Vallisneri (1661-1730) and the archaeologist Francesco Scipione Maffei (1675-1755). Volumes 38-40 were published between 1727 and 1740.
