Catalogue Note
first edition of this important work by Erich, of which only this one part was published. Erich is mentioned by Leibniz in 1712, but is otherwise ignored. He traces the derivation of all languages, including Hebrew, from Greek. In 1686 Erich had published his Principium philologicum, inspired by Dee's Monas hieroglyphica in which he again places Greek as the origin of all tongues.
