Catalogue Note
First published in 1613 at Cologny. The moving spirit behind La société caldoresque was Pyrame de Candolle (1556-1626) who was married to the daughter of the printer E. Vignon. His presses were originally at Cologny but in 1617 he moved to Yverdon near Berne. He was not a successful man and died broke.
