Catalogue Note

editio princeps of Aristides's speeches (although two had been printed by Aldus in 1513). Aristides was a well-respected orator from Smyrna whose surviving orations include details of medical treatment he received in Pergamum.

The editor, Euphrosynus Boninus, who had been a student of Poliziano and taught at Pisa, worked for the Giunta press in Florence from 1515 to 1517, when Filippo Giunta died.
