Catalogue Note

This work postdates the 1591 Arabic Gospels of which 4000 copies were printed. The Arabic type is that cut by Robert Granjon and first used in 1586; the punches still exist in Paris (see Vervliet, "Robert Granjon à Rome" in Bulletin de l'Institut historique belge de Rome 38 (1967)).
